US health professionals implicated in CIA torture regime

Health professionals played a central role in implementing torture techniques in the CIA interrogation program, according to a new report by the Physicians for Human Rights in the US. The paper analysed the recently declassified CIA Inspector General Report of 2004, and found that doctors and psychologists were often present during coercive interrogations. The study says some of the methods used could constitute human experimentation.
