In 2017 the use of cannabis for medicinal purposes became legal in Australia. People with chronic illnesses such as Epilepsy and cancer can use cannabis for treatment to manage symptoms and provide relief, but patients still sometimes struggle to be accepted for treatment. Medicinal cannabis can help with long term illnesses’s and diseases and since the legalisation of medicinal cannabis, unwell Australians have struggled with the limited access to the medicine.
