Commentators have been predicting that Brisbane will soon have a United Nations Declaration to it’s name, by the end of this week’s International Conference on Engaging Communities. While the Mayor of Yarrabah, Vince Mundraby says Indigenous Disadvantage is front and center as a concern. UN Representative Elissavet Stamattopoulou-Robbins says that while Indigenous people represent 5% of the world’s population, they represent 20% of the world’s poor.
