A university team in the Northern Tablelands of NSW are on a mission to save the endangered Bell’s turtle.

The threatened native species aren’t found anywhere else in the world, and the population is at high risk of extinction- with foxes raiding almost 100 per cent of nests.

This year, University of New England researcher Dr Lou Streeting and her team have hatched over 600 Bell’s Turtles.
