Trumps new weapon is a word called “tariffing”

With new Canadian PM elect Mark Carney taking over soon, the Canadian position is unlikely to change – already Canadian liquor stores have been de-stocked of all US product, and this is mirrored across all areas of Canadian life.  On the US southern border Mexico has won a one month reprieve which resulted in widespread jubilation for President  Claudia Sheinbaum.

But if the US is doing this to Canada and Mexico, it is hard to see Australia not getting hit also.   Trade Minister Don Farrell has been dispatched to the US, but his efforts with China a year or two back seemed to just exacerbate the angry Chinese trade sanctions.
