It is not only Iranian citizens that the US wants to control but also its own, especially when they travel. The US State Department in Washington is teeming up with industry to makeover US tourists. One of their ideas is to produce a guide on how Americans should behave overseas. The guide advises Americans abroad not just to talk but listen, to speak lower and slower and whatever your discussion to let it be a discussion and not a lecture. The Australian Government has been keen to follow the US on many issues and they might want to investigate a similar guide for Australian tourists. Doctor Jenny Small from the School of Leisure Sports and Tourism at the University of Technology Sydney says that Australians could use a few tips on good travel behaviour too.
