The trans community are one of the most marginalised groups in society, and after transforming their lives by gaining the confidence to transition to their true gender, they are faced with legal inequalities. The Australian and New Zealand Professional Association for Transgender Health, held their third biennial conference, to work towards breaking down these barriers. Caitlin Hall shared her personal journey and tells of the challenge of not being legally recognised as a female until undergoing gender reassignment surgery.
