A new app which delivers a “Welcome to country” video message as users cross aboriginal tribal boundaries has been launched. The app taps into GPS data to track user movement. In short videos embedded in the app, traditional owners welcome users to their country, and present an overview of the cultural protocols of the area. It is hoped the app will increase awareness and recognition of Australia’s Indigenous peoples and cultures.
