Exmouth, a small rural community north-west of Western Australia plans to be the first ever methamphetamine free town.

The shire, known as a tourist hotspot will now have a new label following multiple incidents and alarming statistics from drug use in the area.

New commissioner, Ian Fletcher has introduced the plan with no interest on the impact it could have on the towns tourist industry.
