‘Took the Children Away’ added to Australia’s national sound archive

Today the National Film and Sound Archive announced this year’s additions to its Sounds of Australia registry. Each year the Australian public nominate sounds that hold cultural, historical and aesthetic significance, and inform or reflect life in Australia. Aboriginal singer/songwriter, Archie Roach’s song ‘Took the Children Away’, was one of those added to the registry.
