1.6 million Australians suffer from an acquired brain injury, and this week awareness of their plight is on the agenda. The Brain Injury Network looks after the interests of those with a brain injury but with the arrival of the Disability Insurance scheme a lot more potential providers are expected to emerge.

SA CEO Mariann Macnamara says competition is welcome in the sector as long as standards remain high and more resources are put into the training of carers.
