As rescue workers fight bad weather and massive aftershocks to deal with the tragedy of Monday’s Sumatran earthquake, scientists are now warning that a super volcano on the island is well overdue to erupt. Vulcanologist Professor Ray Cas from Monash University says Lake Toba is one of several such volcanoes around the world and it will one day erupt causing catastrophe far greater than anything the world has ever known.
