The “Nazi Hunter”, Simon Wiesenthal, died this week aged 96. His life long obsession to hunt down those responsible for the Holocaust led to thousands of Nazis finally being brought to justice, but it was not achieved without its share of controversies. Professor Konrad Kwiet, a Sydney Jewish Historian, and who once met Wiesenthal, says he was the most important Nazi hunter. However, controversies surround his biggest triumph, the scalp of Adolf Eichmann, who supervised the implementation of the “Final Solution”.
