The housing construction market is having a bigger impact on unemployment and participation rates than you think.
According the the Australian Bureau of Statistics, 42,300 jobs were created in May of this year.
Despite this, the Australian unemployment rate still remains the same, sitting at 5.2%.
However, according to OECD statistics, Australia’s participation rate in 2017 was over 5% higher than the global average.
This is also increasing. But why?
