Genetic technology is a highly controversial issue, and is currently used to test the presence of genetic disorders in unborn children. However, criminal behaviour, addictive behaviour and sexual behaviour is all in our genes, and in the future it may be possible to test for them in our babies and even change how we are predisposed to behave. Professor Julian Savulescu from Oxford University told Andrea Johansen that we have an obligation to develop genetic technology for the health and happiness of our children.
