The threat of terrorist narratives and combating online recruitment is the focus of the two-day Regional Countering Violent Extremism Summit. Hosted by the Australian Government, delegates from 27 countries and leaders in from digital, security and community organisations gathered in Sydney to discuss a coordinated approach. Social media was highlighted as an area which has been neglected in counter-terrorism policy and used by terrorist organisations to groom young people.
