A reform to the Northern Australian Infrastructure Facility (NAIF) was pushed through parliament yesterday, that will see taxpayer money used to back lending for gas infrastructure projects.

The reforms have been backed by Labor, with the government hoping to create more jobs with new coal and gas projects.

Green’s Leader Adam Bandt has opposed the reforms, saying the public funding can be used in more efficient ways.
