Tactics against climate change embrace the economy

The Great Barrier Reef has been at the centre of political activism and debate for decades but it’s health continues to deteriorate. As well as agricultural run off and coal seam gas mining, environmentalists point to climate change as a major threat to the reef’s existence and as a result,have launched multiple national campaigns to protect it. But the strategies activists are using as well as how the arguments against climate change are framed, have changed significantly over time. Dominic Cansdale spoke with two organisations who are attempting to mobilise voters into action through nontraditional means.
