Protests in cities across Syria continue to be met with violence by government forces. After another violent weekend, the death toll since protests began in Syria in March is over 1700. International condemnation continues, as criticism from other players in the region grows. King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia has withdrawn their ambassador to Syria, with Turkey, Jordan and the Arab league speaking out against Bashar al Assad’s actions.
