Sydney Peace Prize awarded to Black Lives Matter Global

Co-founders of Black Lives Matter Global Foundation Patrisse Cullors and Alicia Garza, as well as co-founder of Black Lives Matter Toronto Rodney Diverlus are in Sydney this week to accept the Sydney Peace Prize.

The organisation are being rewarded the prize  “For building a powerful movement for racial equality, courageously reigniting a global conversation around state violence and racism. “

So far the three have visited Mildura, and will travel to Melbourne later this week.
