Sydney Alliance aims for community-based action through compromise

This week a new coalition is being launched, made up of over thirty community organizations, religious groups and unions, whose members number half a million people. The Sydney Alliance incorporates diverse groups in Sydney’s community – from the Arab Council Australia to the New South Wales Teachers Federation to the Uniting Church.

Its goal is to create a just and sustainable city by empowering the needs and voices of their partners.On Thursday, over a hundred and fifty thousand people will be at their Founding Assembly in Town Hall to discuss their upcoming initiatives.
