A new tool is being developed to help aged care workers support sexually active elderly people with dementia.
The reality that people with dementia have sex and express sexual desire can often go unacknowledged or be questioned by people who care for them.
The research will complement new diversity action plans launched by the Department of Health and new aged care standards due to come into place on July 1.
