Treasurer Scott Morrison proposed today a reform of superannuation tax concessions ahead of tomorrow’s budget. He said tax concessions will be reduced for high earners, with stronger benefits to come for low and middle income earners and women seeking parental leave. The current superannuation gender gap sits at $92,000 with women earning that much less than men come their retirement. This figure comes from a senate inquiry chaired by Senator Jenny McAllister which looks at the inequities of pay, super and income benefits for women.
