Almost half of young transgender people in Australia attempted suicide.
A new report by the Trans Pathways, released the 1st of September shows that young trans people are experiencing high rates of mental health difficulties including depression, anxiety and suicide attempts.
Young trans people are also facing numerous barriers when it comes to seeking help from medical services or mental health services.
How can we explain these alarming rates?
