The federal government is yet again facing calls to adopt a national approach to combat Australia’s growing health problem – obesity.

A new campaign, Tipping the Scales, has put forward an 8-point strategy, including a 20 per cent health levy on sugary drinks.

However, the Obesity Coalition driving the changes, is now facing opposition from related industry councils, as well as Australia’s cane farmers.
