Air pollution is a global health crisis, killing more people than HIV/AIDS and Malaria combined.

Links between air pollution, lung and heart disease, and stroke have long been understood, but new research suggests air pollution could contribute to degenerative brain diseases as well.

The study examined brain tissue from 37 people in Manchester, the UK, and Mexico, and found levels of Magnetite, a toxic substance associated with the development of Alzheimer‘s disease.
