An estimated 350,000 Australians are set to take part this weekend in the world’s largest anti-poverty event, Stand Up. With climate change threatening the livelihoods of millions of people, combating poverty is now more pertinent than ever. One of 60 aid agencies in Australia’s Make Poverty History coalition, is Stand Up. The major Stand Up event will be held at Melbourne’s Federation Square on Saturday 17th October.
