South Australian independent Geoff Brock has chosen to form government with the Labor Party. The decision is likely to be very favourable to regional areas, which tend to be overlooked in the state, where the vast majority of people live in urban areas. Mr Brock wants more regional public services, as a former mayor he wants stronger local governments. And his local smelter in Port Pirie, a significant employer where he worked for 30 years, is also likely to benefit.
