A recruiter for an AFL club has admitted to the league that the club would prefer to draft Indigenous players with one white parent.
The comments were made in response to an AFL probe into rumours that some clubs were concerned about drafting Indigenous players because of off field issues and a drop in their numbers on club lists.The comments follow the arrest of Melbourne player Liam Jurrah for his alleged involvement in a machete attack in Alice Springs.
