As Russia heads towards another election the country is feeling increasingly threatened by the West, says  former diplomat and author of Return to Moscow, Tony Kevin.  He is in Russia lecturing on the prospects of detente and he says Australians fail to realise how dangerous the situation is. Russia is  concerned with its border security and angered at the bad press it is getting in the West, and the dangers of escalation into war are increasing.
