Operation Auxin, the recent nationwide police sting, targeting the use of child pornography, has closed. Resulting in more than 200 charges laid across the nation, the operation has been praised by New South Wales Police Chief Commissioner, Ken Moroney, as one of the most successful police campaigns. But with reports of men being convicted of possessing child pornography, and then walking off with a mere slap on the wrist … how effective will the operation really prove to be?
