Safe Access Zones bill brings ‘protest-free’ abortion access closer in SA

This week the South Australian House of Assembly passed the Health Care (Safe Access) Amendment Bill 2020 (SA).
This legislation ensures people seeking abortions and those who provide them can do so free from intimidation, something 88% of South Australians support according to a 2019 Flinders University Survey.
The bill is expected to go to the Legislative Council this October.
