One-hundred-and-forty kangaroos have been shot on Bathurst’s Mount Panorama, a move authorised by the Bathurst Regional Council. The cull of the eastern grey kangaroos was done in the lead up to the annual Bathurst 1000 v8 motor race. Opponents of the cull say it was done without consulation and was unnecessary.
