Broadcaster Alan Jones today launched Lazarus Rising, John Howard’s memoirs. Previews of the book already highlight his criticisms of former colleagues Jeff Kennett and Nick Minchin. The tensions between Howard and his deputy Peter Costello also rate a mention. But what of his record on issues of human rights and the war in Iraq? If last night’s ABC Q&A program was any indication of the content in the book, Howard regards his record on these matters as faultless.
