Recycling gives Aussies in Antarctica the ‘cleanest water in the world’

A team of researchers from Victoria University, University of Melbourne, Australian Antarctic Division, Veolia, TasWater, Coliban Water, RMIT University, Curtin University and AECOM have designed a wastewater treatment system that can operate at the remote Davis Research Station in Antarctica.

Unlike regular systems, this unit needs to operate with minimal intervention, as supplies including spare parts and chemicals are only delivered once per year.
