Shoppers are rushing to register and check out pages from this Friday, with Black Friday and Cyber Monday sales forecasting record profits.

The Australian Retail association said that this will account for more than a quarter of all holiday spending this year. As fashion brands dominate the charge this selling season, concerns have been raised that manufacturers of apparel will not profit from these record sales. In collaboration with Deloitte, Oxfam found that only four percent of profits from a single piece of clothing are paid to a garment worker.

We spoke with Nina Crawley, advocacy lead at Oxfam, on what consumers can do to ensure they snag an ethical bargain from this year’s sales.
