Scientists are heading to Fraser Island to use radar to search for the remains of over 100 Aboriginal people. But some members of the community are questioning the cause, arguing the site should be left as it is.

What is now seen as a popular holiday destination, Fraser Island or K’Gari as its known has a dark past, which is hidden along with more than 100 Aboriginal men, women and children in unmarked graves. Scientists from the University of the Sunshine Coast in Queensland this week are going to Fraser Island in search of the long lost Aboriginal burial ground, using radar technology.
