The Pembroke Resources Olive Downs coal mine approval by the Queensland Government this week has left many environmentalists concerned.

The coal mine will impact on important Koala habitat as well as plan to leave three (3) large gaping holes in the earth, where the land is no longer viable.

This comes as the Queensland Government introduced rehabilitation laws, which does not allow new mines to leave land to remain unfilled, last year.
