QLD farmers concerned over approval of coal seam gas extraction wells

Farmers in regional Queensland are up in arms over the Federal government’s approval to drill more than two thousand wells in the area. 

The wells are to extract coal seam gas in the Murray Darling region, and farmers are concerned the drilling will soon pollute the high-quality alluvial soil and the groundwater below.
