A new report by ANU has revealed around 22,000 potential pump hydro power sites across Australia.
Hydro power, with support from solar and wind power, has the potential to eliminate emissions and reduce Australia’s reliance on coal and gas-fired power.
Chosen sites could begin development as soon as 2022.
