“Australia’s counter-terrorist strategies are a threat to democracy” says Professor Johan Galtung, Director of Transcend, a Peace and Development Network. He has mediated conflicts in over 50 countries and is the founder of the academic discipline of peace studies. At a conference in Sydney today he outlined strategies for non-violent solutions and the need to be liberated from American global domination.
