Australia’s Privacy Act is set for a major overhaul, after the Australian Law Reform Commission released a discussion paper for public comment today. The paper included 103 proposals, and followed submissions from a variety of groups, including business, consumers and young people. Professor Les McCrimmon, commisioner in charge of the inquiry and Gerard Brody, from the Consumer Action Law Centre spoke with The Wire.
