The impact of brain injury can be devastating for the victim and the family. Australian Council of Social Services reports that the number of severe brain injury cases is on the rise and those at risk are more likely to be young and male. Now there’s renewed pressure on the federal government to provide more assistance to people who suffer from this disability. That’s the message for Brain Injury Awareness week.
