Pokies have become part of Australian gambling culture.

Today three Australian politicians including Nick Xenophon, Larissa Waters and Andrew Wilkie called for gambling insiders to spill trade secrets.

They plan to use the protection of parliamentary privilege, which gives them immunity from defamation law to air whistle-blowers’ information.

But industry bodies are calling this a publicity stunt.
