The latest increase in the price of fuel has dramatically lifted the price of owning and using a motorcar – especially for those living in the outer suburbs of our cities.Professor Bruce Robinson conducted a seminar in Brisbane earlier this week to discuss the need for our urban planners to start planning our cities to be less reliant on cars. He says there is no need to panic yet but has called for greater forward planning to be prepared for the time when petrol becomes scarce. Professor Robinson spoke with Stuart Deed about urban planning and the other fuel options to replace petrol.
