Communities in rural and remote Australia are facing pharmacy workforce shortages, according to research coming out of Charles Darwin University.

The fear is, without enough pharmacists and pharmaceutical workers in these areas, the communities will suffer and struggle to get the necessary care.

Former pharmacist and Associate Professor at Charles Darwin University Dr Heather Volk is concerned states and territories aren’t doing enough to recruit and retain pharmacists in regional Australia.
