Recent scandals involving drugs such as Vioxx have made us aware that medicines available on the Australian market are not as safe as we may think. The Adverse Medicine Events Line is a channel of communication for the general public to report when things go wrong with their medicines, but it’s in danger of being shut down. Pharamacist Geraldine Moses spoke with Annie Hastwell about some of the drug side effects that have been reported on the help line that haven’t been picked up in the testing process.
