Professor Peter Singer was described by the New York Times as the most controversial philosopher alive. Originally from Melbourne, Peter Singer is currently Professor of Bioethics at Princeton University in New York. He is in Australia to give a series of lectures and launch his new book titled ‘How Ethical is Australia?’. Andrew Liberts asked him if he thought Australia was a good global citizen. Singer says Australia must increase it’s foreign aid levels, sign onto Kyoto and move back towards a mutlilateral world.
