Sugary foods are given a much higher health rating than they should, says Choice

Australia’s peak consumer advocacy group, Choice, has recommended a change in the way we rate sugary foods.

They say the current rating benefits sugary cereals, while at the same time disadvantaging naturally sugary foods such as fruit.

Under their proposed revision of the system, cereals currently rated 4 stars out of 5 would be reduced to 1.5
