The proposed Animals (Regulation of Sale) Bill in New South Wales has recieved opposition this week in the form of a 10 000 signature petition presented to Parliament. The bill intends to ban the sale of mammals in pet shops in a bid to reduce animal abandonment and impulse purchases.
